Mar Morán returns to LittleOpera Zamora for its tenth anniversary

Mar Morán makes her debut in the demanding and dazzling role of Madame Herz in Der Schauspieldirektor (The Impresario) by W. A. Mozart, as part of the prestigious LittleOpera Zamora festival, which this year celebrates its tenth edition.

Following her participation in the previous edition, Mar returns to the festival to embody this iconic Mozartian character for the first time, bringing her signature energy, musicality, and virtuosity. This debut marks a new milestone in her career, set in a particularly meaningful context: a production that stages a “musical duel” between the works of Mozart and Salieri, under the musical direction of Lara Diloy and stage direction by Rita Cosentino.

Spanish soprano Mar Morán will shine at the prestigious Pažaislis Music Festival in Kaunas, Lithuania, with a standout performance at the Kaunas State Philharmonic.

The Pažaislis Music Festival, one of the most iconic musical events of the Baltic summer, celebrates its 30th edition in 2025 with a rich program of classical music concerts held in historic venues throughout Kaunas and its surroundings.
Mar Morán’s participation in this edition marks a significant milestone in her rising international career, further establishing her presence on Europe’s most renowned stages.

Set in contemporary Madrid during the Pride celebrations, the work offers a modern perspective on the Spanish lyrical tradition, blending humor, emotion, and musical styles such as bolero, fox-trot, and pasodoble to tell a story of love, identity, and freedom.

As part of the “Lyrical and Classical Music by Candlelight” series and within the autumn concert program organized by the Montijo City Council, soprano Mar Morán will present a very special recital in collaboration with pianist Eduardo Moreno. Entitled “Zarzuela by Candlelight”, the concert will take place at the historic façade of the Convento de Santa Clara, which will be transformed for the occasion into an intimate and atmospheric stage, lit solely by the soft glow of candlelight.

The program offers a journey through some of the most emblematic pieces of the zarzuela repertoire, performed in a setting that enhances the emotional proximity and expressive richness of this lyrical genre.

Soprano Mar Morán will make her debut in the role of Musetta in a new production of La bohème by Giacomo Puccini, to be performed at the Teatro Principal in Burgos on December 7 and 8, 2025. Musetta is a passionate and dazzling character, offering moments of great dramatic and musical brilliance—most notably the celebrated aria “Quando me’n vo’”, a true emblem of the operatic repertoire.

This highly anticipated debut also marks the return of the artist to the Burgos stage, where in 2024 she starred to great acclaim as Violetta Valéry in La traviata, receiving an enthusiastic welcome from both audiences and critics alike.
